Bishop Rueben Job Center for Leadership DevelopmentThe mission of the Bishop Rueben Job Center is to provide excellent quality training, resourcing, and networking for clergy and lay leaders in the area of Christian leadership development, concentrating on key ministry areas and key transitions in ministry. This includes updated theory, practical skills, and spiritual growth for continual learning and development.

Christian educators invite persons and communities of faith to be transformed, as they are inspired and challenged to: know and experience God through Jesus Christ, claim and live God's promises, and grow and serve as Christian disciples.

Four Areas of Focus
The Four Areas of Focus express the vision and yearnings of the people of The United Methodist Church. Over the next quadrennium, the church will seek to focus the work of making disciples for Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world around these areas of ministry:
- Combating the diseases of poverty by improving health globally.
- Creating new places for new people and revitalizing existing congregations.
- Developing principled Christian leaders for the church and the world.
- Engaging in ministry with the poor.
Spiritual Formation
The Upper Room is a global ministry dedicated to supporting the spiritual formation of Christians seeking to know and experience God more fully. From its beginnings as a daily devotional guide, The Upper Room has grown to include publications, programs, prayer support, and other resources to help believers of all ages and denominations move to a deeper level of faith and service.

Stewardship
The mission of the Center for Christian Stewardship is to encourage the joy of generous giving in congregations and individuals by providing church leaders with exceptional stewardship resources, training, and consultation. This is a program of the General Board of Discipleship.
