Camp work days

Work teams of all sizes from one to 30 are needed at each camp for jobs that might include working in the flower beds, painting, siding, landscaping, splitting wood, sewing curtains, baking, cleaning, or anything in between. It is amazing to see how many weeks of work can be accomplished in a few days with a group of individuals. The directors at each of the camps would love to see you there.

Upcoming work camp dates at Dakotas UM camps are:

Storm Mountain Center- May 21, 2016
Lake Poinsett Camp – May 13-15, 2016
Wesley Acres Camp – May 14, 2016

Pledge to work at camps as part of the 10,000 Hour Miracle Offering

The 2016 Miracle Offering calls for giving 10,000 Hours of service to Dakotas Conference ministries. Each is asked church to identify 10 or more people who will each give 10 hours of their time to one of the ministries in the Dakotas Conference.

“Live Generously” by serving at one of our three Dakotas Camps:

Wesley Acres Camp—Dazey, ND—Paul & Brenda Lint, Site Directors

Lake Poinsett Camp—Arlington, SD—Christy Heflin, Site Director

Storm Mountain Center—Rapid City, SD—Scott Jensen, Site Director

One of the best ways to serve is as a summer camp counselor. Bring some children or youth from your church and serve in a way that impacts their lives as well as your own. Volunteers are also needed throughout the year to keep our camps beautiful and ready to host people of all ages as they encounter Christ.
