“Find-A-Church is an awesome tool for churches in the Dakotas Conference to make themselves known to anyone throughout the world.  It is a free tool so that makes it even better,” said Rev. Rebecca Trefz, Dakotas Conference Director of Ministries.

Through Rethink Church advertising, thousands of people will come in contact with local church online profiles. Make sure yours is up to date, by entering information about specific ministries happening this fall and winter.

What is Find-A-Church?

It is free online data and mapping tool. You now have a rare opportunity to tell your community more about your church: who you are, what you offer, how you serve, and what people can expect when they visit. United Methodist Communications is collaborating with our churches to provide a free online profile.

You will receive an email confirmation of your update. Expect updates to display on your Find-A-Church profile within seven to ten business days.

“I think churches would be surprised at all of the tools and information that they can put out there.  It is free marketing for the local church.  We would be happy to assist churches in becoming part of the Find-A-Church database,” said Doreen Gosmire, Dakotas Conference Associate Director of Communication.

Several churches throughout the Dakotas Conference have not created a profile or have not updated their profile for a while.  Now is the time. 

“I am hoping that churches will take the time to complete the profile.  We want everyone to know where are churches are and the great things they have to offer,” said Gosmire.
