Bishop Lanette Plambeck is the resident bishop for the Dakotas-Minnesota Area of The United Methodist Church. Elected to the episcopacy in 2022, Bishop Lanette serves three states – Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota – that comprise the Dakotas and Minnesota Conferences.

X: How Then Shall We Live? 

In every season, election seasons included, we are called to bear witness to Jesus Christ. How we speak, how we listen, and how we treat those with whom we disagree all testify to the One we follow. This series of letters by Bisbop Lanette has us looking into Connexion, Politix, Reflexion, and Praxis. Each word carries an X, an echo of the Chi (Χ) that begins Christos, the name of Christ.  It is intended for formation and encouragement with the hope that we will be formed together into beloved community, belonging to Christ and to one another across every line that has the potential to divide us.
