Staff-Parish Relations Committees (SPRC) are encouraged to attend the virtual training on Tuesday, March 9 beginning at 6:30 pm central time, hosted and led by Rev. Dan Bader, Dakotas Conference Superintendent, Rev. Becky Jo Messenbrink, Minnesota Conference Superintendent, And Diane Owen, Area Director of Clergy Well-being. If you have new members of the SPRC, have recently received a new pastor, or haven’t been through a training in a while, you are recommended to participate. 

The training is best experienced if all SPRC members are viewing the training together thus allowing for engagement in table conversations. The key topics covered include:

• Role and Responsibilities of the SPRC and the SPRC chair
• Nominating members of the SPRC
• Staff structures
• Clergy assessments
• Providing feedback
• Dealing with conflict and concerns
• Clergy support and well-being resources
• SPRC role in the appointment process
