Amplify Dakotas -Welcome!

Churches across the Dakotas now have a powerful new tool for ministry: the Amplify Dakotas channel, which officially launches this week. This initiative builds on the strong foundation of Amplify Media from the United Methodist Publishing House (Cokesbury) while adding unique features designed specifically for churches and individuals in the Dakotas Conference.

With Amplify Dakotas, United Methodist clergy and laity across the conference will have the benefit of enjoying the same rich library of Cokesbury resources that Amplify Media has long provided. However, the experience is now enhanced with content created for and by leaders in the Dakotas Conference.

Among the new additions are:

• Customized videos including Conference-wide Bible study resources, sermons, worship elements, and ministry stories from across the Dakotas.
• Specialized training resources for clergy and lay leaders, equipping churches in the areas of stewardship development, discipleship, ministry development, and administrative leadership.
• Curated content from Amplify, highlighting Cokesbury resources for discipleship, evangelism, and Christian leadership that leaders from across the Dakotas have recommended.

This transition also removes financial barriers. Churches and individuals in the Dakotas will no longer need to carry the cost of subscribing to Amplify Media on their own. Instead, through the Amplify Dakotas channel, the Dakotas Conference is ensuring that all churches, clergy, and members can access these powerful tools at no additional cost, thanks to the support of the Dakotas Connection Initiative grant.

"By curating resources that reflect our local context, while also giving access to an extensive library of United Methodist discipleship content, we are equipping churches for vibrant ministry across the Dakotas. Whether your church is located in an urban center or a small town, whether you worship with 300 people or 13, and whether the average age of your congregation 25 or 75, Amplify Dakotas provides resources to help you grow as followers of Jesus in the Wesleyan Way."

The vision behind Amplify Dakotas is simple but transformative: to provide a shared platform for digital discipleship and resource sharing that both celebrates the unique gifts of the Dakotas Conference and draws on the rich theology and tradition of the wider United Methodist connection.

Churches and individuals are encouraged to begin exploring Amplify Dakotas, using it in worship, small groups, youth ministry, leadership training, and personal discipleship. Together, these resources create a stronger foundation for making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world—right here in the Dakotas.

Instructions to sign up for an Amplify Dakotas account

1. Click here to register. We encourage you to have any indivdual from your church who will be using Amplify Dakotas to sign up for their own account. (After you submit your registration, the instructions for creating an account will appear. You will receive an email with an access code and a brief instructional video to walk you through the process.)
2. Go to the Amplify Dakotas page. (It may take a moment to load the page.)
3. Click on the "Click here to enter your code" button.
4. On the next page, enter the Dakotas Conference's unique Access Code that you received in your registration confirmation email.
5. Click "Verify" to advance to the next window.
6. Enter your name and your own personal email address. Next, create your own unique password. 
7. Finally, click on "Start a free Membership," and you will be up and running.

Note: If you want to access the complete Amplify library that's included in your account, navigate to the drop-down menu at the top of the page and click on "Channels". Then choose from Amplify Media's complete library or one of the other topic-specific channels.
