Canton United Methodist Church
Canton United Methodist Church held their first 5th Sunday Service project on Sunday, June 30, 2013. The congregation met at the 4H Grounds, rather than at the church and worked from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM. They then had a short worship service in the 4-H Quonset and then shared a potluck lunch at 12:30 PM. There was something for everyone to do. When you get around 55 people together to work, a lot of things get accomplished. Canton United Methodist church’s slogan is..."Making disciples who make a difference!" I think a project like this in our local community does just that. It was time to take the church outside the walls and do some good!
