September is National Hunger Action Month and today area United Methodist Churches came together to help support local hunger programs.

The Dakota Marketplace was held at the First United Methodist Church in Downtown Sioux Falls, auctioning off some beautiful quilts, crafts and baked goods.

Last year the event raised more than 140 thousand dollars that was distributed to local agencies that work to help battle hunger in our community.
