Families First Coronavirus Response Act—FFCRA

The Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA), signed by President Trump on March 18, 2020, provides small and midsize employers refundable tax credits that reimburse them, dollar-for-dollar, for the cost of providing paid sick and family leave wages to their employees for leave related to COVID-19.

Jeff Pospisil, executive director for Finance and Administration, recently found out that lay persons tax credits can be handled payroll system, however, for clergy, they need to claim this through their own tax return. Here is a video that Jeff created to walk you through the details.

If you or someone in your family has had COVID-19 and you stayed home with them while they were sick, please contact Jeff Pospisil for assistance in getting tax credits for this year.
