Hearts Open 2 Corinthians 6:11-13

Think about how young children live with open hearts. As children, we approach the world with wonder and curiosity. We embrace new people, new things, and new experiences. We respond with simple joy to flowers blooming, or a sunny day, watching puppies or kittens play, or making a new friend.

It’s been said that hate for and fear of those who are different is something we learn, or are taught. But we were created in love to love God, to love ourselves, and to love others. When we open our hearts to God’s love for us and all creation, there are no restrictions in this love and acceptance of ourselves and others.

God’s love casts out all fear, so God wants us to live with the simple joy and faith that children have in living and loving. Today, look for possibilities and live with wonder and awe.
