Jonah 1:2-3 "Accepting God's Call"

When God said go, what did Jonah do? He took off in the exact opposite direction in a foolish attempt to beat God at God's own game. My prayer is that you have heard clearly that there is simply nowhere you can run where God cannot and will not find you. My prayer is also that you've read and heard the many stories of our faith that witness to this truth over and over again, because this is the centerpiece of what we believe as Christians – we belong to God who loves us.

We have plenty of good news to share, beginning with the fact that the power of God's call, love, and mercy are relentless! God has and God will continue to move heaven and earth for you – even as you're running for Tarshish, because even when we run, we can never hide from God.
