Love and Light John 15:16-17

Chosen. Now this is a word that we all want to hear. It feels good to be chosen by someone else. It feels good to feel special.

In today’s scripture we are told that Jesus has chosen us. It kind of feels like we are special because we are chosen to be on Jesus’ team.

However, when we read more closely, we discover that Jesus chose us for a reason — to go and bear fruit. What kind of fruit? What does this mean?

Jesus knows that when we follow God’s commandments, we are not only living in a way that is more consistent with what is good for us and what God wants for us - we are also living in a way that blesses the world. Jesus chose us to bless the world with God’s love by the way that we live.
