Spirit Comes John 16:12-15

I find great comfort in, "I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear." I find that often when the Spirit is revealing something, the Spirit's revelation is paired with my strong feelings of anxiety or confusion. This is comforting to me personally, but I also find it comforting for the Church as well. After all, this is the week of celebrating the Church's birthday, and it is clear from some members of various denominations and congregations that their church is less of a birthday party and more of something they can hardly bear right now.

Perhaps the question for us is not only "What is the Spirit revealing?" but "Are we really ready to hear what the Spirit's revelation may mean in our lives?"

The Spirit is always speaking and always revealing new truth to God's children. It is my hope that our limited understanding as finite creatures will be the only reason the Spirit will constantly reveal new visions.
