Spirit Leads John 3:11-15

Have you ever tried to describe an experience to someone, and they just scrunched up their face and stared at you with a puzzled look? You tried again, hoping they might make a connection with what you were saying, but you finally had to give up and say, “You had to be there!”

If you’ve ever sat in church or read your Bible and felt like you “just don’t get it,” you’re in good company. Wise old Nicodemus didn’t understand heavenly things and the disciples always seemed to need private explanations of parables, so don’t feel so bad when faith isn’t always easy. Just keep following the example of Nicodemus and the others who continued seeking answers from “the One who descended from heaven,” and so knows about heavenly things.
