DeLette Winkelman, age 90, of Jamestown, North Dakota, died Wednesday, February 18, 2026, in Jamestown.  DeLette is the widow of the late Reverend Norman Winkelman, elder of the Dakotas Conference.

Together, DeLette and Norman served in the Dakotas Conference at Bowbells-Coteau and Fargo Edgewood, and in the United Methodist Churches of Bismarck Calvary, Wahpeton-Great Bend, and Jamestown St. Paul's. In retirement, they served at Enderlin-Sheldon United Methodist Churches and Montpelier Lutheran Church.

DeLette was elected to the General Board of Global Ministries of The United Methodist Church and served as a director of the Women's Division of United Methodist Women from 1992 to 2000.

Since family and friends could not safely gather at the time of Norman's death in 2020, a Celebration of Life for both Norman & DeLette will be held at 11:00 a.m. on May 2, 2026, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Jamestown, ND. Lunch will be served after the service, followed by a graveside service at Lakeview Cemetery, Marion, ND.
