Reverend James Byron Persons, 71 of Deadwood, SD died, Sunday, May 31, 2020, at his home in rural Pennington County. He was a retired elder of the Dakotas Conference.

Rev. Persons served the Dakotas Conference at: Huron First; Conde/Andover; Rapid City Knollwood Heights; Clark/Garden City; Madison; Grand Forks Wesley;  and Mitchell First. He also served as the Northwest and Southwest District Superintendent.
