Tree of Life ministry in Mission, South Dakota can help a few more people thanks to a gift of $3,173 from inmates at the South Dakota Penitentiary. The funds will go to the Warm Welcome, a food ministry that serves 300 people each day.

The recent government shut down impacted Tree of Life. The penitentiary heard about the need and decided to donate funds that are raised by inmates, from money raised from selling pizza. Inmates also gave items that they made - wooden toys, mittens, and hats.
