In the Dakotas Conference, we have seen the value of uniting in prayer, in the study of Scripture, and in common practices of worship during different seasons of the church year. Conference-wide studies and sermon series have been a valuable tool for discipleship and connectional strength. We now have the opportunity to unite with United Methodists around the world in a denomination-wide rhythm of prayer, Scripture, reflection, and practice.
As part of our 2026 Annual Conference Miracle Offering, we are responding to the invitation of the United Methodist Council of Bishops in supporting the Endowment for Theological Education in Africa, the Philippines, and Europe. To help undergird this bold act of generosity, the campaign leaders have provided resources for six‑week sermon series and study written by leaders in The United Methodist Church from Africa, Europe, and the Philippines. Created to start after Easter, this coordinated experience is designed to:
Thoughtfully produced video resources bring to life vivid stories of faith from across Africa, Europe, and the Philippines and highlight the transformative impact of theological education on local congregations and their communities. The six-week worship and small group resources are available here. The Dakotas Conference communications team has also prepared a social media campaign to accompany this resource.

By joining this worldwide initiative, we are invited to support theological education for United Methodist pastoral students across our connection in Africa, Europe, and the Philippines.
“Our shared goal is bold: to endow 500 scholarships in perpetuity," shared Bishop Eben Nhiwatiwa and Barbara Boigegrain. "Achieving this will require faith and a miracle. Yet we trust the Holy Spirit to multiply our gifts beyond what we can imagine.”
This global invitation is made to all 30,000 congregations of The United Methodist Church... including YOURS!
“Together, the people called United Methodist can create a holy momentum—one that shapes lives, strengthens communities, and prepares leaders for generations,” said Bishop Ande Emmanuel of Nigeria.
