What Jesus Came to Do 1 Corinthians 9:16-18

What is the gospel? We see this word in scripture and hear it at church, but really, what is the gospel? Simply put, the gospel is the written account of Jesus’ life. Some people refer to it as “good news,” meaning the story of Jesus’ life should be seen as just that. Good news, a welcome piece of information, that God sent Jesus to live on earth, to show us how to live, to die as a sacrifice for us, and then to be raised again!

Jesus came to earth to bring good news to us, to humanity, that God loves us that much! And Paul (the writer of 1 Corinthians) is correct when he claims that he should share this good news with others. Good news should always be shared. We should join with Paul in telling others about God’s love.
