Williston's Faith UMC Helps Sponsor

Williston, N.D. -- Approximately 100 people participated in Williston's "Out of the Darkness" Community Walk on the evening of Sunday, September 16, 2012, at Spring Lake Park in Williston, North Dakota.  The event is intended to help raise awareness and erase the stigma surrounding suicide and depression.

A meal was provided by one of the oil-related companies, Dr. Bob Edwards from Minot spoke to the gathering, and three Remembrance Lanterns were successfully launched.

Faith United Methodist Church, Williston, N.D. was one of the $300 sponsors for the Walk.  The 'Cross + Flame' logo was prominent on the back of this year's T-shirts.

Over $17,890.05 was contributed through registrations and donations.   Fatih UMC's “Keck's Kandles Team”  raised close to $1,000.
