Wisdom from Above James 3:13

My daughter started kindergarten just a few weeks ago. She’s really proud of everything she has learned so far — from the ABCs to two plus two. You’re probably also proud of what you learned, or are still learning, in school. And you should be!

But this Bible verse says that true wisdom isn’t the confidence that comes from having all the answers; rather, true wisdom is knowing that you don’t have all the answers — and never will. Only God knows it all.

How comfortable are you today with your own questions, doubts, insecurities, and the certain knowledge that you don’t know everything? If you are a little embarrassed about these things, don’t be. Followers of Jesus (at least the truly wise ones) aren’t afraid to say, “I don’t know,” and “I may be wrong.” This is what faithful humility sounds like.
