Adventure Awaits

Registration opens January 2020! Click on the title of the camp for more information, and to download the welcome letter. Camper grade is designated as the grade completed as of June 2020. When registering online for the first time, plan for the process to take 15-20 minutes to complete.

July 31 - Aug 2, 2019

512 - LPC Mini-Camp C Lake Poinsett Camp

Pack your bags and all your energy because we are packing a weeks worth of fun into 48 hours. All the fun of camp compressed into 2 days. Experience camp all on your own without a shepherd and stay in the cabins with counselors. Come and discover Christ in all types of activities: swimming, canoeing, kayaking, playing games, Bible Study, campfire and more.  Shepherds are welcome. Grades: 1-3

547 - LPC Lacrosse Camp Lake Poinsett Camp

Come try our new inaugural Lacrosse Camp. Learn the basic skills of throwing, catching, scooping, and shooting. Join us for this dynamic camp. Don’t have a lacrosse stick? No worries—we will provide everything you need. Grades: 4-7

625 - SMC Kidventures Storm Mountain Center

Designed to help first-time campers get into the rhythm and possibilities of camp while having a friendly and familiar adult (shepherd) there to encourage, grow, learn, and have fun with. This is a great opportunity for those important beginning steps in personal faith and positive encounters with Christ and God’s love. Grades: K-3

August 4 - Aug 7, 2019

620 - SMC Summer’s Last Blast Storm Mountain Center

Experience the joy of camp and the love of Christ before summer is over. You will hike, play, sing, swim, make new friends, and enjoy the great outdoors. Grades: 3-5

730 - WAC Archery and More Wesley Acres Camp

Take AIM and learn archery or improve on your skills. Learn to aim for the mark while we learn the marks of a faithful Christian. This camp will have archery lessons and include all of the other things that make camp great. You’ll swim, play, canoe, learn, sing around the campfire, and make new friends. What a great way to end the summer! Grades: 4-7

**This Camp is FULL!** Join us for this last blast of the summer. It will be an action-packed few days! Waterfront activities, games, Bible studies, and more. Shepherds are welcome. Grades: K-5

609 - SMC God, Guys, Golf, and Gears Storm Mountain Center

Good fellowship, great food, and fun rounds on three elite courses in the Black Hills make this camp a must for any gentlemen interested in golf. NEW this year – GEARS! If you prefer a bicycle ride in the Black Hills, we’ve got you covered. Days will be your choice of either golf or gears. Evenings will be filled with shared fellowship, good conversation, and reflections on a book of the dean's choice. Ages: Adult Men

612 - SMC Lover of God’s Hills Storm Mountain Center

Some gentle hiking of His hills, inspiring songs and devotions, rich relationships, a touch of geology, and great food make this a most enjoyable camp. Invite your friends and come enjoy! Note: Each member of your party must register! Please make sure to list roommate/cabin mate requests so we know who will be staying with you at camp. Ages: Adult 50+

September 26 - Sep 27, 2019

621 - SMC Buffalo Round-Up Storm Mountain Center

A wonderful fall outing to experience the great fall colors and the thunder of the buffalo herd as they crest the hill in Custer State Park! Join us for supper Thursday night before an early bed time. Friday we will get up early and head for Custer State Park. There we will watch as riders on horseback roundup and drive the herd of approximately 1,300 buffalo. Not only is the roundup a spectacular sight to see, it is also a critical management tool in maintaining a strong and healthy herd in the state park. Note: Each member of your party must register! Please make sure to list roommate/cabin mate requests so we know who will be staying with you at camp. Ages: Intergenerational

SMC Men’s Walk to Emmaus Storm Mountain Center

Walk to Emmaus is a 72-hour experience starting Thursday evening at 7:00 pm and ending around 7:00 pm on Sunday. Participants are asked to separate themselves from their daily activities for this time period. There is no “physical walking distance”, but rather a “walk” with others in fellowship, learning and fun.

622 - SMC Confirmation Retreat Storm Mountain Center

Experience connections with other United Methodist churches and confirmands. Learn about a part of your Christian and United Methodist heritage. Develop your faith while playing and studying during this retreat. Bring your own group leaders. Note: Each camper must register individually. Grades: 6-9

810 - DAK Youth 2019 Aberdeen Recreation and Cultural Center (SD)

DakYouth is an annual youth event like no other and is for both middle school and high school youth in the Dakotas Conference. Youth gather from all around the conference to learn about leadership, discipleship, and service. You'll make new friends, enjoy music by recording artist Ryan Stevenson, interact with Mark O. and Stephanie Caro, hear from guest preacher Rev. Sarah Heath, learn at workshops, enjoy closing worship with special guest Bishop Bruce Ough, and have lots of fun! Grades: 6-12

800 - 2020 Winter Connections Three locations: Bismarck, Rapid City, and Sioux Falls 

Winter Connection is an annual event for middle school and high school youth that takes place in the Bismarck, Rapid City, and Sioux Falls this year. This is an opportunity for youth to gather, share, worship, and serve others. Each year there is a focus on a particular theme and scripture along with a unique and important component of service. Our theme for 2020 is "Love Is" Our scripture is 1 Corinthians 13:4-7.
