Grafton and St. Thomas make furniture a gift to Spirit Lake Center

Grafton, N.D. -- The AmericInn or Graton, N.D. has gifted an entire hotel full of furniture to Spirit Lake Nation in Sheyenne, N. D.

The Americinn recently conducted an extensive remodeling project. Rev. Lee Gale of Graton Federated Church and St Thomas UMC, was contacted by the hotel manager to see if the church knew of anyone who may be able to use the hotel’s old furniture.

Gale immediately contacted Mike and Libby Flowers at Spirit Lake Ministry in Sheyenne, N.D. to check if they could use some 46 rooms of furniture. The answer came quickly, "We'll take it!"

Ten rooms of furniture have already been moved from the hotel with the help of congregation members from Grafton Federated Church and St. Thomas United Methodist along with several friends invited to help.  Ten more rooms of furniture will be moved this Sunday afternoon and each Sunday after until all of the furnishings arrive at Spirit Lake.

The furniture will be trucked to Spirit Lake and placed in a warehouse for inspection and distribution.

Rev. Lee Gale remarked,  “ It is a pleasure to make this happen.  Our prayers and blessings go out to Mike and Libby's ministry at Spirit Lake.”
