On behalf of the Keepers of the Canton Native Asylum Story, it is my privilege to announce that Saturday, May 7, 2016 a presentation on the history of the asylum will be given at Canton (SD) High School, in southeastern South Dakota. Following this morning presentation, an honoring/remembrance ceremony will take place on the former asylum grounds and at the asylum cemetery.
