HARRISBURG, SOUTH DAKOTA --Rev. Kyle Reinhiller, Hartford United Methodist Church is getting exercise while he is at the office. Rienhiller uses a Tread Desk in his office.
Rev. Reinhiller reports that he is staying fit and sleeping well. He even gets work done while walking. Some people take a second glance when they walk into the office and see him walking and working.
The health plan for members of the Dakotas Conference encourages walking. Participants that wear a pedometer and log the steps they take each day receive an incentive. “Our health plan encourages everyone to get in at least 7,000 steps a day,” said Leana Stunes, Chief Benefit Officer for the Dakotas Conference.
Reinhiller has been able to easily get in 7,000 steps a day. One day he reported getting over 35,000 steps. That is over 17 miles in one day.
