Spirit Leads John 3:16-17

As a kid, I loved comic books — Spiderman, X-Men, the Hulk, you name it. I loved the comics, the characters, and the writing. Heroes defeated villains and saved the world, all while spouting witty banter and great one-liners. Often, at the end of a story, the hero or heroine would be walking off victorious into the sunset and a dialog box would simply declare: “‘Nuff said.” It took me awhile to realize this meant “enough said.” No more words necessary. Period.

I wonder if John realized when he quoted these words of Jesus that this would become one of the most well-known one-liners in history. Its phrasing is so concise that it has been called “the gospel in a nutshell.” ‘Nuff said.

How would you describe your love for God in a nutshell? Could this help you share that good news with the world?
