General Conference, the top legislative body of The United Methodist Church, meets May 5-15, 2020, at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Minnesota. Some 862 delegates, elected from around the world, will gather to set policy and direction for the church, as well as handle other important business.

Many churches have such sizable endowments or investment accounts, that committees or individuals struggle over the purpose and how these funds should, or in many cases, shouldn’t, be used. The 27th session of the Dakotas Annual Conference will take place June 10-13, 2020 at the Sioux Falls Convention Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This year the Dakotas and Minnesota Conferences will hold a joint conference, with separate business sessions, and combined worship and learning opportunities. The theme of our joint Annual Conference is "Be the Light: Live Hope!" and will center around our gospel imperative to heal a broken world.
