Prison Fellowship Ministry
Training focuses on:
In Prison/County Jail Ministry:
"…I was in prison and you visited me." Matthew 25:36
Learn how to share God’s love with persons currently incarcerated.
Reentry Ministry
“...Just as I have loved you, you are also to love one another.” John 13:34
Reentry is tough. Two-thirds of released prisoners will be arrested again within three years. Get involved in helping ex-prisoners make the transition back into society.
Family Ministry
“…Look after orphans and widows in their distress…” James 1:27
Help those who are struggling with the pain and loss of having a family member in prison.
Mentoring Ministry
“…Spur one another on to love and good deeds…” Hebrews 10:24
Offer friendship and guidance to prisoners and ex-prisoners who are rebuilding their lives.
Purpose of Mentor Training: This course will prepare you to be a positive influence on prisoners and ex-prisoners returning to your community. You will learn how to:
Establish a mentoring relationship, help your mentee build a new life, and hold the mentee accountable
Your work will have an impact far beyond the mentee. Families will be made stronger. Crime rates will be reduced. Tax dollars will be better spent, and communities will be made safer.
