In just a few days, more than 450 clergy and laity from the Dakotas and Minnesota Conferences will gather in Sioux Falls, South Dakota for the REACH! event. They will learn together from an excellent roster of presenters and leave with tested methods and tactics to reach new people across our three states. (Registration is still open!)
Even if you're not able to attend yourself, you're invited to pray for the gathering and its participants. Bishop Bruce R. Ough has written a prayer that is available below and in a PDF that contains bookmarks that you can cut out and distribute to your congregation.

Join Rev. Rebecca Trefz and Jane Hincks on Friday, Oct. 5 at 10:30 a.m. at Embrace Church as they prayer walk the facility in preparation for the Reach! event.  

Please share this prayer with your worship leader and use it in worship on the Sunday and share it with your church staff and encourage them to pray it daily leading. Most importantly, consider designating a specific time each day when you pause and pray this prayer.

Gracious and Holy God, pour out your Spirit power and blessing on the REACH convocation.

Work through this gathering of your people to revive our passion for creating new places and reaching new people, all to your glory, O God.

Guide the speakers, teachers, and hosts, that they may inspire and equip us to become a “Great Commission” people across the Dakotas-Minnesota Area.

Prepare me and my congregation, even now, to embrace, with renewed energy, commitment, and focus, the learnings we will receive and Jesus’ command to go—go and make new disciples equipped to transform the world.
